Peer Review Essay 3

Peer Review Essay 3

Q Peer Response Workshop: Essay 3, Draft 1 (Literature) Writer’s Name: Stephanie Thomas Reader’s Name: Melissa Morris Theme Chosen: Theme not chosen 1. What did you learn about the theme that the writer chose? What is the writer’s opinion or analysis of the novel? The writer has not chosen any theme and the paper is incomplete. The writer has only mentioned that the kite has symbolical meaning in the book. The writer has only completed the first portion of the assignment, mentioning about the plot, character, setting and conflict. 2. In analyzing literature, a reader/writer needs to consider plot (for novel), characters, setting, themes, ideas, emotions, and images. From reading this paper, did you feel that there was any part of the analysis that the writer missed or could have done more thoroughly? What did you need or want to know about the novel’s theme? The writer has missed every requirement of the paper. The assignment was about the first draft where we need to select a theme and analyze that theme through the help of text reading and support the ideas with specific details of character, setting, and images. 3. What did you like best about this paper? I didn’t like anything in the paper because the writer has not completed the requirements for this particular assignment. 4. Complete the “Essay Feedback Checklist” on the back of this page. What suggestions do you have for your classmate when s/he writes the second draft? Be as specific as you can! Comments: Since the writer is clear about the use of symbol in the story, the writer can implement those symbols and select an important theme to complete this paper with a detailed analysis. Unless the writer creates this first draft of writing about a theme, it will be difficult to complete the second draft.
